TINT Tray Pouch Workshop

Service Description

This class is two in one! You will be learning the basics of sashiko stitching using a pre-printed pattern and making your own customized tray pouch in the class! You will walk away with a finished pouch AND the materials to complete your own one of a kind sashiko tray pouch at home. Each participant will get to choose a kit for their own hand stitched tray pouch to start in class together. We will go over all the steps you need to complete to make your own tray pouch, including how to interface and hand stitch the entire project as well as various ways to embellish it. Then we will use our sewing machines to make a sample tray pouch using quilting fabric to demonstrate the entire pouch making process. Join us to learn how to make a professionally finished tray pouch that you can use for yourself or make as easy gifts! This class will be three hours and include the materials for a handstitched pouch and a quilting fabric pouch. If you require additional materials, you may purchase them in the shop with a 15% discount for class members. Class members are asked to bring their own sewing machines and have the basic knowledge to use them. If you have hand stitching tools you prefer to use, that may also be useful, but is not required. Please bring your glasses! We will be doing a lot of up-close, detailed work! This class is suitable for beginning sewers, but is not an introduction to machine sewing.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made a week or more prior to the workshop date in order to receive a full refund.  No refunds or class makeups are given for failure to attend or cancellations within 7 days.  If a class is cancelled by TINT or the instructor, a full refund will be given to all students.
