English Paper Piecing Basics :: 1/22 (2p - 4p)
Wanna ring in the New Year with new skills?? English paper piecing (EPP) is a hand-sewing technique that allows you to piece together quilt blocks with the convenience of being able to take it anywhere. Sometimes we wish we could be sewing but can’t be at our sewing machine and EPP is the perfect, portable solution for this! EPP is a great opportunity to think about color choice, fabric composition and placement (e.g., "fussy" cutting) as well as a chance to use up small pieces of fabric that you may already have.
Join local art therapist and artist Jessica Lopez, of The Gorilla & The Pig, to sew a Brimfield Block. During this class you will learn the basics of prepping your paper pieces (cutting and basting) and then how to hand-piece with a needle and thread. We will start off with hexagon paper pieces and then sew together a Brimfield Block by Brimfield Awakening. We can't wait to sew with you!
Date: Saturday, January 22, 2022
Time: 2pm-4pm (2 hours of instruction)

Required Materials: You'll be provided a Brimfield Awakening block kit with the paper pieces but can either purchase basic sewing supplies from TINT or bring some if you already have them. This class is very beginner friendly; no previous stitching experience necessary!
